Michael Haneke's Amour Selected to Represent Austria at the Oscars

Austria has chosen Michael Haneke's Amour, which won the prestigious Palme d'Or Award at the Cannes Film Festival earlier this year, to represent it at next year's foreign language Oscars. In the U.S., the film, which is distributed by Sony Pictures Classics, will open on December 19th in New York and Los Angeles.

Amour stars Jean-Louis Trintignant (Red), Emmanuelle Riva (Hiroshima Mon Amour), Isabelle Huppert (La Cérémonie), and William Shimell (Certified Copy).
