Strand Releasing has acquired the U.S. distribution rights to Simon Aboud's directorial debut Comes a Bright Day (2012). Earlier this year, the film had its world premiere at the Berlin International Film Festival.
Comes a Bright Day tells the story of Sam and Mary, who fall madly in love during an armed robbery that goes badly wrong. The film stars Craig Roberts (Submarine), Imogen Poots (28 Weeks Later), Kevin McKidd (Trainspotting) and Timothy Spall (Secrets & Lies).
Strand Releasing is planning a November release date.
