Sony Pictures Classics has picked up the U.S. distribution rights to Robert Redford's latest film, The Company You Keep (2012), starring Robert Redford, Shia LaBeouf, Julie Christie, Sam Elliott, Stanely Tucci, and Nick Nolte. The film will have its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival next month, and then it will head to the Toronto International Film Festival.
The Company You Keep is based on Neil Gordon's 2003 novel and produced by Bill Holderman (The Conspirator), Nicolas Chartier (The Hurt Locker), and Robert Redford. It was lensed by Brazilian cinematographer and director Adriano Goldman (Sin Nombre, City of Men).
