Germany also gets 20th Century Fox's Limited Collector's Edition of James Cameron's Titanic 3D
(1997) on September 14, available for pre-order now from Amazon.de
simultaneously with the standard 2D and 3D Blu-ray editions of the movie.
The Limited Collector's Edition will contain the 3D/2D 4-Disc Blu-ray edition set of the
movie which comes with hours of bonus features and will also be available individually, plus the following extras mentioned by Amazon exclusive to the Limited Set:
Hardback glossy Art Book
Replicas of original Titanic documents.
Collectible Titanic box Packaging
The 3D Blu-ray version will have the IMAX 3D version of movie in the 1.78 Full Frame HDTV
aspect ratio used in the IMAX presentations, while the 2D version will present the film in the
original theatrical Scope 2.4:1 aspect ratio.
The 2D Blu-ray version will also be available separately as a 2-Disc Set the same day.
Amazon.uk's previously posted UK Collector's Edition, limited to a 1000 copies, sold out almost immediately, while the 3500-copies Japanese version sold out a couple of days later. Amazon.de in this case doesn't state the number of Limited Edition copies.
The Collector's Limited Edition is available in France and a couple of other Nordic countries.
