For the week ending on June 24th, Guy Richie's Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows maintained the top sales figures on both the Blu-ray and overall media rankings. The film's first two weeks on home media platforms have suggested a strong second life, and Warner Bros. can add its small-screen earnings on top of the Robert Downey Jr.-vehicle's domestic theatrical gross of $187 million. During its second week of sales, the title sold 47% of its units on Blu-ray, a slight drop from last week's 54% market share.

Warner Home Entertainment also occupied the second spot on the Blu-ray and overall package media charts; the distributor's Project X debuted at number two. This raunchy comedy - which got a big boost from the involvement of its producer, The Hangover director Todd Phillips - is one of 2012's sleeper successes. It grossed almost $95 million worldwide after accruing roughly $12 million in production costs. The film's premiere week on home media showed it performing admirably against the Sherlock Holmes juggernaut - Project X sold 66% as many total units as Holmes and 53% as many Blu-ray copies (along those lines: it enjoyed a 37% HD market share).

Finally, even after three weeks, Twentieth Century Fox and Relativity Media's Act of Valor still managed high rankings on the overall media and Blu-ray-only charts. While it did not get the number three slot on the package media list (that distinction belonged to the family-friendly Big Miracle), Act of Valor did come in third on the Blu-ray roster. Sales did drop somewhat from the previous week; Act of Valor sold only 21% as many Blu-rays as Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows and 24% as many total units. Still, the action-thriller's HD market share stayed comparatively robust, as evinced by the 42% Blu-ray figure, which bested Project X's showing in the same format.
