Next month, Kino Video will bring The Saphead to Blu-ray. This 1920 silent comedy marks the feature-length film debut of Buster Keaton (The General), who stars as Bertie Von Alstyne, a pampered Wall Street socialite.
Though Bertie spends most of his days basking in the luxury with which his father's high-profile brokerage provides him, the film marks his rude awakening to the world around him, from disastrous gambling and courtship attempts to a bungling appearance at the New York Stock Exchange.
Kino's Blu-ray presents the film in a 1.33:1 aspect ratio with multiple sound options - a 2.0 stereo score composed and performed by Ben Model as well as a Robert Israel-arranged-and-directed score presented in both 2.0 stereo and 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio. The Blu-ray also contains the following bonus supplements:
