The Weinstein Company and Columbia Pictures have just revealed the first theatrical trailer for Django Unchained. The newest feature from Academy Award-winning filmmaker Quentin Tarantino (Pulp Fiction), this revisionist Western focuses on the relationship between bounty hunter King Schultz (Christoph Waltz, Inglourious Basterds) and African-American slave Django (Jamie Foxx, Collateral).
After violently acquiring him from Southern slavedrivers, Schultz makes the weary Django a unique proposition: should Django help Schultz track down the infamous Brittle brothers (M.C. Gainey, Con Air, Cooper Huckabee, Space Cowboys, and Doc Duhame, L.A. Confidential), then Schultz will not only award Django his freedom but will also help retrieve Django's wife Broomhilda (Kerry Washington, Ray) from venal plantation owner Calvin Candie (Leonardo DiCaprio, Shutter Island).
Django agrees, and the two men embark on a blood-soaked trek through the American South, a journey where murder and deception await them at every turn, where the only things they can trust are their gunslinger skills and the bond of vengeance that unites them.
