Next month, MPI Home Video will bring A Bag of Hammers to Blu-ray. This comedy stars Jason Ritter (Paper Heart) and Jake Sandvig (Easy A) as two aimless friends who form a surprising connection with a single mother (Carrie Preston, Duplicity) and her young son (Chandler Canterbury, Knowing).
From MPI's official synopsis:
"Buddies Ben (Ritter) and Alan (Sandvig) are twenty-something L.A. slackers who celebrate their endless adolescence and take nothing seriously. They make money through a valet-parking scam...and by leasing their rental house next door. Their new tenant is a stressed-out single mom, Kelsey (Preston), who's struggling to pay her bills and to support herself and her precocious [and] street-smart twelve-year-old son (Canterbury). Ben and Alan strike up a friendship with Kelsey, but Alan's sister Mel (Rebecca Hall, The Town) comes to believe that the boy may be a neglected latchkey kid. Mel's intervention to remedy that situation sets off a chain of startling events...as Ben and Alan must invent the family they've always needed."
