Warriors of the Rainbow: Seediq Bale Gets UK Release Date

Studio Canal have revealed that they are preparing a Blu-ray release of director Wei Te-Sheng's (Cape No. 7) epic film Warriors of the Rainbow: Seediq Bale (2011), starring Masanobu Ando, Umin Boya and Chi-Wei Cheng. Last year, the film was nominated for the prestigious Golden Lion Award at the Venice Film Festival. Street date is July 15th.
The most expensive production in Taiwanese history (budgeted at approximately $25 million), Warriors of the Rainbow: Seediq Bale chronicles the true story of Taiwan's aboriginal people and their revolt against the Japanese colonizers in the 1930s.
