In July, Warner Home Entertainment will bring Blade II to Blu-ray. The second installment in the popular action-horror franchise finds vampire slayer Blade (Wesley Snipes, Brooklyn's Finest) relocated to Europe in an effort to save his mentor Whistler (Kris Kristofferson, The Sailor Who Fell from Grace with the Sea).
However, Blade's mission takes an unexpected turn when he finds himself allied with the Bloodpack, a team of skilled vampire warriors. Their common objective: to eradicate the Reaper colony, a group of disturbingly mutated bloodsuckers deadly enough to eradicate all life - both dead and undead - from the planet.
Update: Warner's Blu-ray presents the feature in its 1.85:1 original aspect ratio (incorrectly listed as 2.39:1 on Warner's press release) with a 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio track. In addition, the disc includes a number of supplements, such as all materials previously available on the DVD special edition as well as these Blu-ray-exclusive bonuses:
All-new commentary with Guillermo Del Toro
Director's Notebook feature
Blade II: Blood Brothers featurette with writer David Goyer
Blade II is expected to street on July 10th and is available to pre-order now.
