Red Tails Blu-ray

Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment will bring Red Tails to Blu-ray in May. Director Anthony Hemingway's historical adventure follows the exploits of the Tuskegee Airmen during World War II.

From Fox's official synopsis:

"Italy, 1944. As the war takes its toll on Allied forces in Europe, a squadron of black pilots known as the Tuskegee Airmen are finally given the chance to prove themselves in the sky....even as they battle discrimination on the ground. Featuring jaw-dropping aerial action and thrilling special effects, Red Tails is a breathtaking tribute to the unsung heroes who rose above extraordinary challenges and ultimately soared into history."

Written by John Ridley (Three Kings) and Aaron McGruder (The Boondocks), the film's ensemble cast includes Cuba Gooding Jr. (American Gangster), Terrence Howard (Hustle & Flow), David Oyelowo (Rise of the Planet of the Apes), Nate Parker (The Secret Life of Bees), Elijah Kelly (Hairspray), Tristan Wilds (The Wire), Method Man (The Sitter), Ne-Yo (Stomp the Yard), Michael B. Jordan (Chronicle), Andre Royo (Super), Lee Tergesen (Generation Kill), Gerald McRaney (Deadwood), and Bryan Cranston (Breaking Bad).

Fox's Blu-ray/DVD combo pack presents the film in its 2.39:1 original aspect ratio with a 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio track. The disc also contains a number of bonus supplements, such as:
