In May, E1 Home Entertainment will bring Hell On Wheels: The Complete First Season to Blu-ray. This gritty western series, which premiered last year on the AMC Network, focuses on Cullen Bohannan (Anson Mount, Burning Palms), a former Confederate soldier who starts working on the Union Pacific Railroad as a subterfuge for a far more insidious - and personal - revenge mission.
Bohannan's exploits ultimately draw the attentions of a struggling freed slave (Common, Smokin' Aces), a mysterious preacher (Tom Noonan, Manhunter), and the scheming Thomas Durant (Colm Meaney, Layer Cake), a railroad financier determined to ensure his legacy by any means necessary.
The Blu-ray set presents all ten Season One episodes in their 1.78:1 broadcast aspect ratio with 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio tracks. Bonus supplements include:
