French label Opening Distribution has revealed that it is preparing a Blu-ray release of director Roger Donaldson's
The Bounty (1984), starring Mel Gibson, Anthony Hopkins and Laurence Olivier. Exact technical specs, region coding status and supplemental features to be included on this release are unknown at the moment, but the preliminary release date set by the label is May 15th.
In 1984, the film was nominated for the prestigious Palme d'Or Award at the Cannes Film Festival.
