Independent British distributors NetworkDVD have revealed that they are preparing for Blu-ray release director Carol Reed's (
The Third Man)
Odd Man Out (1947), starring James Mason, Robert Newton and Cyril Cusack. The preliminary release date set by the distributors is May 7th.
James Mason stars as Johnny McQueen, an idealistic leader of an illegal organisation in Northern Ireland, imprisoned for gun-running. Escaping, he plans an armed raid to financially support his plans – but it goes wrong; he is shot and badly wounded.
