Contraband Blu-ray

In April, Universal Studios Home Entertainment will bring Contraband to Blu-ray. The action-thriller stars Mark Wahlberg (The Fighter) as a former smuggler who must return to the criminal life in order to save his family.

Directed by Baltasar Kormákur (Inhale), this remake of the Icelandic film Reykjavik-Rotterdam co-stars Kate Beckinsale (Underworld) as Wahlberg's long-suffering wife and features a supporting cast that includes Ben Foster (3:10 to Yuma), Diego Luna (Open Range), Giovanni Ribisi (Lost in Translation), J.K. Simmons (Burn After Reading), Lukas Haas (Inception), and Caleb Landry Jones (X-Men: First Class).

Universal's Blu-ray/DVD/UltraViolet combo pack presents the film in its 2.39:1 original aspect ratio with a 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio track. The disc also contains a number of bonus supplements, such as:

• Commentary with director/producer Baltasar Kormakur and producer Evan Hayes
• Two behind-the-scenes featurettes:
- Under The Radar – The Making of Contraband
- Reality Factor – The Stunts and Action of Contraband
• Deleted scenes
