As part of its 100th Anniversary this year, Universal Studios Home Entertainment will offer special re-issues of selected catalog titles, and the Meet Joe Black Blu-ray will arrive in the May wave. A remake of the classic Death Takes a Holiday, this whimsical dramedy stars Anthony Hopkins (The Edge) as William Parrish, an aging media tycoon who, on the eve of his 65th birthday, receives a visit from Death (Brad Pitt, Moneyball).
Desperate to prolong his physical existence, Parrish makes a deal with Death: he gets a few more days of life in exchange for acting as Death's tour guide through the world of the living, an arrangement that takes both Will and Death on a journey of self-discovery.
Universal's Blu-ray presents the film in its 1.85:1 original aspect ratio with a 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio track. The disc also contains the following supplements:
