A Bullet for the General Blu-ray

Cult label Blue Underground has revealed that it is planning to release on Blu-ray Italian director Damiano Damiani's El chuncho, quien sabe? a.k.a A Bullet for the General (1966), starring Gian Maria Volonté (A Fistful of Dollars, Faccia a faccia), Klaus Kinski (Nosferatu the Vampyre, Venus in Furs), Martine Beswick (Thunderball), and Lou Castel (Fists in the Pocket, The Eyes, the Mouth).

The exact technical specs, region coding status and supplemental features to be included on this release are unknown at the moment, but the preliminary release date set by the label is May 22.

At the height of the Mexican revolution, a mysterious young American (Castel) joins a gang of marauders led by El Chucho (Volonte) on a series of savage raids to steal guns for a powerful rebel general. But when the Gringo brings his own cold-blooded ideals to the bandits, El Chucho discovers that the real weapons of war belong to no army. In a land ravaged by poverty and violence, can true freedom be bought with a single bullet?
