Amazon's Blu-ray Deal of the Week affects the Limited Collector's Edition of Gettysburg & Gods and Generals. Through January 21st, Amazon is offering it for $36.49 (a 57% discount from its MSRP of $84.99).
Starring such actors as Jeff Daniels (Dumb and Dumber), Martin Sheen (The Departed), Tom Berenger (Inception), Robert Duvall (Apocalypse Now), Sam Elliott (The Big Lebowski), and Stephen Lang (Avatar), these Civil War epics examine different facets of America's bloody conflict; Gettysburg follows the planning behind the title battle, while Gods and Generals acts primarily as a character study of Confederate general Thomas Jonathan "Stonewall" Jackson (Lang).
Warner's four-disc Limited Collector's Edition contains the director's cuts of both films alongside a wide assortment of bonus supplements, including commentaries with the filmmakers, retrospective and vintage documentaries, a photo book of Civil War artifacts, an extraction from Time - The Civil War: An Illustrated History, a historical battlefield map, and a special commemorative coin.
