Earlier yesterday at CES in Las Vegas, Sony announced three new Blu-ray players: BDP-S390, BDP-S590, and BDP-S790. According to Sony's press release, the first two players will offer Wi-Fi connectivity with app support (Netflix, YouTube, Pandora, Hulu Plus, etc.), while the BDP-S790 will offer Wi-Fi connectivity with app support and Skype. The big news, however, is that the BDP-S790 will also have the ability to upscale any content to 4K.
Pricing for these new players has not been officially announced yet, but the BDP-S390 and BDP-S590 are expected to be available in February, while the BDP-S790 should be available on the market sometime in April.
