Inception Media Group will bring Lady For a Day to Blu-ray this March. This 1933 comedy stars May Robson (A Star is Born) as Apple Annie, a Spanish indigent woman living in New York City who, with the help of gangster Dave the Dude (Warren William, The Wolf Man), pretends to be rich in order to help her daughter marry a wealthy aristocrat.
Directed by Frank Capra (It's a Wonderful Life), the film was nominated for four Academy Awards at the 1934 Oscar Ceremony - Best Adapted Screenplay: Robert Riskin, Best Actress: May Robson, Best Director: Frank Capra, and Best Picture.
