The Blu-ray.com team is happy to announce another upgrade, this time we have added a
feature called "Movie Mates", which is basically a list of members who have the most similar
taste in movies as you, ie. your movie ratings are very similar.
This is useful for two purposes:
- When looking at a movie profile you will now see an additional Movie rating, this is your
Movie Mates' rating. This is useful in helping you decide whether you will like a title you
haven't seen yet. If a title has a movie rating of 8, but your Movie Mates have rated it 6,
then it's likely that you might not like this title as much as the normal rating of 8 suggests and vice versa.
- You can now see a list called "Movie mates recommendations", which is a list of titles
you haven't yet rated, but your Movie Mates have rated them highly and you are likely to
also like those titles.
This feature improves as you rate more and more titles, so we recommend that you try to rate
a lot of movies as accurately as possible, both ones you like and ones you dislike and also more obscure/lesser-known titles.

Please note that for this feature to work, you need to be logged in and have at least 10 ratings in common with another member (if you make 20+ ratings in total it should usually suffice).
