New Line and Warner Home Entertainment will bring
A Very Harold & Kumar Christmas to Blu-ray next year. The third installment in the raunchy
Harold and Kumar series follows the two leads (John Cho,
Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle, and Kal Penn,
Harold & Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay) on a madcap trip through New York City as they try to replace Harold's father-in-law's destroyed Christmas tree.
Neil Patrick Harris (
Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog) returns to the franchise as the gleefully depraved fictional version of himself, and the film also stars Elias Koteas (
The Thin Red Line), RZA (
Funny People), Thomas Lennon (
Hot Tub Time Machine), Danny Trejo (
From Dusk Till Dawn), and Patton Oswalt (
Ratatouille).
New Line offers two Blu-ray options -
a two-disc Blu-ray/DVD/UltraViolet Digital Copy edition and
a three-disc Blu-ray 3D/Blu-ray/DVD/UltraViolet Digital Copy edition. The Blu-rays present the film in its original aspect ratio of 2.39:1, though further technical details are still unknown.
Update: The disc
will contain the following supplementary materials.
- Extended cut of the film on the Blu-ray 2D version
- Through the Haze with Tom Lennon featurette
- Bringing Harold & Kumar Claymation to Life featurette
- Deleted scenes
