The Lion King 1½ and 2 Blu-rays

Next year, Walt Disney Home Entertainment will release The Lion King 1½ and The Lion King 2: Simba's Pride on Blu-ray. Previously available only as part of the studio's eight-disc The Lion King Trilogy, these two animated films detail the further adventures of the Lion King cast.

Disney has prepared two-disc Blu-ray/DVD combo packs for each feature. Both films have 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio tracks, and The Lion King 1½ is presented in its 1.66:1 original aspect ratio, while The Lion King 2: Simba's Pride has received a 1.78:1 HD transfer.

In addition, both sets have a number of bonus supplements.
