Official Trailer for Rock of Ages

Warner Bros. has just released the first theatrical trailer for Rock of Ages. Director Adam Shankman's adaptation of the popular Broadway musical stars Diego Boneta (Pretty Little Liars) and Julianne Hough (Burlesque) as two aspiring performers who fall in love against the backdrop of the 1980's hair-metal music scene.

Their struggles bring them into the orbit of Bible-thumping protesters, unscrupulous record producers, and Stacee Jaxx (Tom Cruise, Collateral), a debauched, self-destructive rock star.

Adapted from Chris D'Arienzo's musical book by Michael Arndt (Little Miss Sunshine), Allan Loeb (The Dilemma), Jordan Roberts (March of the Penguins), Justin Theroux (Tropic Thunder), and D'Arienzo himself, Rock of Ages features an impressive supporting cast that includes Alec Baldwin (The Departed), Catherine Zeta-Jones (The Mask of Zorro), Malin Akerman (Watchmen), Russell Brand (Forgetting Sarah Marshall), Bryan Cranston (Contagion), Mary J. Blige (Beats, Rhymes, & Life: The Travels of a Tribe Called Quest), and Paul Giamatti (Win Win).

Rock of Ages' scheduled U.S. release date is June 1st, 2012.
