The UK branch of Studio Canal (formerly Optimum Home Entertainment) has revealed that it will release on Blu-ray acclaimed Italian director Giuseppe Tornatore's (Cinema Paradiso, La leggenda del pianista sull'oceano) Malena (2000), starring Monica Bellucci and Giuseppe Sulfaro. In 2001, the film was nominated for Oscar awards for Best Music (Ennio Morricone) and Best Cinematography (Lajos Koltai). Street date is March 26th.
Note: In the UK and U.S., Malena was censored when it arrived on DVD. Currently, the only uncut English-friendly version of the film is available on DVD in Korea.
