Next year, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment will release a single-disc Blu-ray edition of Das Boot. Director Wolfgang Petersen's Academy Award-winning epic focuses on a German U-Boat crew during World War II as they cope with the physical and psychological struggles of submarine warfare.
Sony's new Blu-ray, which contains only the 208-minute director's cut, presents the film in its original aspect ratio of 1.85:1 with 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio tracks. The disc also has the following bonus feature:
