Independent distributors Image Entertainment reported 12.7% increase of revenues for the second-quarter (ended Sept. 30). Disc (Blu-ray and DVD) revenues in particular increased 8.7% to $17.0 million, from $15.7 million. According to the company, gross profit margins were also up 22.1%, compared to 17.0% for the three months ended September 30, 2010, driven by strong sales of Blu-ray catalog product.
