Lionsgate has released the official trailer for The Hunger Games. This adaptation of author Suzanne Collins' popular science-fiction novel focuses on the post-apocalyptic remnants of the United States as well as the Hunger Games, an event that pits young adults against one another in a fight to the death.
Academy Award-nominee Jennifer Lawrence (Winter's Bone) stars as Katniss Everdeen, a skilled Hunger Games contender who unwittingly comes to represent the rebellion protesting the corrupt Capitol that fosters the brutal competition.
