Next year, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment will bring Higher Ground to Blu-ray. An adaptation of author Carolyn S. Briggs' memoir This Dark World and the directorial debut of Academy Award-nominated actress Vera Farmiga (Up in the Air), this drama focuses on a woman who begins to question her deeply ingrained religious beliefs. Her internal struggle takes a toil not just on her psyche, but also on the very fabric of her tightly-knit spiritual community.
Sony's Blu-ray/DVD combo pack presents the film in its original aspect ratio of 1.85:1 with a 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio track. The disc also includes a number of special features, including:
