Next year, Warner Home Entertainment and New Line Cinema will bring Journey to the Center of the Earth 3D to Blu-ray. Loosely adapted from Jules Verne's classic novel of the same name, this family adventure stars Brendan Fraser (The Mummy) as a scientist who travels deep within the earth's core to find his missing brother.
New Line's Blu-ray presents the film in full HD 3D, an upgrade from previous Blu-ray editions that only used Anaglyph 3D. A complete list of technical and supplementary specifications for the Blu-ray 3D/Blu-ray combo pack is still unknown - though the disc will have a 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio track - but Warner's official press release promises "over twenty minutes of fun, family-friendly special features" as well as Movie Money towards the Dwayne Johnson-starring Journey 2: The Mysterious Island, which premieres theatrically on February 10th, 2012.
Journey to the Center of the Earth 3D is expected to street on January 17th, 2012.
