Loewe, the German high end AV brand, have announced their upcoming MediaVision 3D
with Blu-ray 3D playback. The player integrates CD, DVD, Blu-ray 3D playback with an iPod
and iPhone dock. Loewe promise better than ever visual and audio performance with their
MediaVision 3D.
The player supports Full HD 3D playback of Blu-rays and HD audio decode or pass through via HDMI. It also feature HDMI pass through for other devices with two HDMI inputs and one HDMI output. The MediaVision 3D's party trick is its connection to Gracenote which, internet connection permitting, will analyse music from movies on DVD or Blu-ray in the background and allow the viewer to see which song is playing so that they are not left wondering which song that was on a movie soundtrack. It is not clear whether Loewe have integrated a purchase function into the player so that instant gratification is possible.
Another feature is the ability to rip CDs to MP3 and archive them to an external hard drive via the easy to use USB port, and finally the MediaVision 3D has interchangeable cover plates so that it never looks out of place in one's living room. More than 250 designs are available from Piano Black to Wood Grain.
Loewe's MediaVision 3D will be available soon for £850 in retailers.
