Underworld Trilogy: The Essential Collection Blu-ray (Updated)

Timed to anticipate the January 20th theatrical release of Underworld: Awakening, Sony Home Entertainment will bring Underworld Trilogy: The Essential Collection to Blu-ray in December. This box set bundles together the first three Underworld films - Underworld, Underworld: Evolution, and Underworld: Rise of the Lycans - which chart the bloody conflict between the aristocratic Vampires and the brutish Lycans.

Underworld Trilogy: The Essential Collection presents all three titles in their original aspect ratio of 2.39:1. Underworld and Underworld: Evolution have 5.1 LPCM audio tracks, while Underworld: Rise of the Lycans has a 5.1 Dolby TrueHD track.

Update: The set also contains UltraViolet digital copies of each film.

In terms of special features, the collection retains the same supplements from the already-available Underworld Trilogy plus two tickets to Underworld: Awakening and a bonus disc including Underworld: Endless War, an anime series set in the Underworld universe.
