The cable television series stars Jeremy Irons (Die Hard with a Vengeance) as Rodrigo Borgia, the head of the Borgia family and master manipulator of Renaissance-era Italy's political landscape. As described in Paramount's official press release:
"The Borgias is a complex, unvarnished portrait of one of history's most intriguing families...The series begins as Rodrigo becomes Pope Alexander VI, propelling him, his two Machiavellian sons Cesare and Juan, and his scandalously beautiful daughter, Lucrezia, to become the most powerful and influential family of the Italian Renaissance."
The three-disc Blu-ray set contains all nine episodes of Season One. While the technical specifications have not yet been announced, The Borgias: The First Season will contain the following bonus features:
