Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment will release Mr. Popper's Penguins on Blu-ray this December. Based on the 1938 novel by Richard and Florence Atwater, the film stars Jim Carrey (The Mask) as the titular character, a harried businessman who inherits six spirited penguins.
Mr. Popper's Penguins also has an impressive supporting cast featuring Carla Gugino (Watchmen), Angela Lansbury (Beauty and the Beast), Clark Gregg (Thor), Dominic Chianese (The Sopranos), David Krumholtz (Serenity), Philip Baker Hall (Magnolia), and Jeffrey Tambor (Win Win).
Fox's official press release for the Blu-ray/DVD/Digital Copy combo pack indicates that the film will be presented in 1080p high-definition with a yet-to-be-confirmed 5.1 audio track. In addition, the disc contains a number of bonus supplements, including:
