Disney is currently offering separate $5 off coupons for the Blu-ray 3D release of the 1991 animated classic, Beauty and the Beast and the 1994 hit The Lion King. The Diamond Edition combo packs include Blu-ray 3D, Blu-ray, DVD and digital versions of each film. Both sets will hit stores this Tuesday on October 4th.
Beauty and the Beast remains one of the centerpieces of Disney's animated classics and received six Oscar nominations back in 1991. The film took home wins for Best Original Score (Alan Menken) and Best Original Song, "Beauty and the Beast" (Alan Menken & Howard Ashman).
The Lion King was recently treated to a 3D theatrical re-release which saw the film reclaim the #1 spot at the box office for two straight weeks. Counting its original box office run, the film has pulled in an impressive $394 million and may pass the $400 million domestic mark if theaters extend the re-release.
