Amazon has launched its highly anticipated
Spanish storefront. Currently, the site offers only physical goods, including DVDs and Blu-ray discs, but its inventory is expected to grow in the weeks to come and match the assortment of goods its sister sites offer. The site also offers two- to three-day shipping through Amazon Prime for €14.95 ($20.52/£13) per year. Standard shipping within Spain costs € 2.99 per shipment. Customers can also get free shipping on orders for books over €19.
Amazon customers with active accounts on the sister sites can use the same log-in/password info to access the Spanish site.
In addition to its new Spanish storefront, Amazon now has official presence in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, China, and Japan.
