Amazon's Gold Box Deal of the Day for September 14th features the HBO miniseries The Pacific for the reduced price of $38.99.
This Emmy-winning 10-part WWII epic centers on the experiences of two Marines (Joseph Mazzello and James Badge Dale) as they complete their tour of duty in the Pacific. The series was produced by Tom Hanks, Steven Spielberg and Gary Goetzman.
The deal gets you the 6-disc set for 61% off the $99.98 list price, which is the lowest this release has been available on Amazon since last December. For those thinking of taking advantage, be wary that the series will be re-released in November alongside Band of Brothers in a Special Edition Giftset (albeit at a higher price of $134.99).
