Pirates Packaging Misprint

Those of you who are picking up 'Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End' today on Blu-ray may notice that something isn't quite right on the specifications. If you look at the video encode for the main feature, the packaging says it is presented in 1080i. You shouldn't worry, though, as this is simply a misprint - the title is encoded at full 1080p24.

This isn't the first snafu that the Pirates movies have seen. The Blu-ray release of 'Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl' had a framing problem for a small number of scenes which caused some interesting problems. An exchange program is currently being constructed so that current owners of the title can get the fixed release.
