Lakeshore Entertainment and Screen Gems have released the first trailer for Underworld: Awakening The fourth installment of the horror action franchise brings back Kate Beckinsale as vampiress Selene.
This sequel has Selene awake from a 12 year sleep and escape imprisonment from a heavily guarded facility. She then learns that humans have discovered the existence of both Lycans and vampires and that she now has a 14-year old vampire/Lycan daughter named Nissa who she must now protect. Starring alongside Beckinsale is Michael Ealy, Sandrine Holt and India Eisley.
Underworld: Awakening will be the first film in the series to be shown in 3D. A release date of January 20th, 2012 has been set. Additionally, the Underworld Trilogy is currently part of Amazon's deal of the week and has been reduced to $24.99 (62% off).
