Paramount Home Entertainment has announced the Blu-ray debut of the 1988 Bill Murray comedy Scrooged. The Richard Donner (Superman) film is a modern retelling of the Charles Dickens classic A Christmas Carol and star Murray as a cold-hearted TV executive who is taken into his past by three ghosts.
Not to be confused with Scrooge, a 1970 version which stars Albert Finney and hits Blu-ray a month earlier, the film features appearances from Karen Allen (Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark), Robert Mitchum (The Big Sleep) and John Forsythe (Dynasty).
The release will feature DTS HD Master Audio 5.1. A complete listing of bonus content has yet to be determined, but the Blu-ray will include the film's theatrical trailer. Look for Scrooged to hit stores on November 1st, 2011 with a SRP of $19.99.
