Disney has released the first look at their upcoming fantasy drama
The Odd Life of Timothy Green. The film stars Jennifer Garner and Joel Edgerton as a married couple who are greeted by a strange child in the middle of the night. They then realize that the boy mysteriously embodies all the qualities that they have dreamed of for their first child.
The film was co-written and directed by Peter Hedges, who last helmed
Dan in Real Life and wrote
What's Eating Gilbert Grape? and
About a Boy.
The Odd Life of Timothy Green will feature Cameron "CJ" Adams in the title role and supporting performances from Ron Livingston, Common and Rosemarie DeWitt.
Disney announced yesterday that the film is still over a year from seeing a release, and has been scheduled for August 15th, 2012.
