Blu-ray Sales, July 25-July 31: Source Code is No. 1

For the week ending July 31, Source Code finished on top of the Blu-ray sales chart. The sci-fi thriller had a successfull box office release, produced with a low production budget of $32 million, the film finished its worldwide theatrical run with a total of $123 million. The Jake Gyllenhaal mind twister was a hit on the Blu-ray sales chart earning 41% of its total unit sales from the HD format.

Rango, last week's Blu-ray sales champ, dropped one spot spot to No.2 on the blu-ray and the overall sales charts. Rango's sales share attributed to Blu-ray Discs declined from 41% in the previous week, to 28% in the current period.

Dropping one spot to No. 3 on the Blu-ray sales chart was Limitless with 33% of total package unit sales from Blu-ray. Making a triumphant debut on Blu-ray, The Blues Brothers, finished its initial week of release singing the blues on the No. 5 sales spot.
