British distributors Optimum Home Entertainment will release on Blu-ray Brazilian director Fernando Meirelles' Cidade de Deus a.k.a City of God (2002). Technical specs and region coding status for this release are unknown at the moment, but the preliminary street date set by the distributors is September 12th.
Currently, City of God is not available on Blu-ray in the United States. However, Blu-ray.com has reviewed the Canadian Blu-ray release, courtesy of Alliance films, here.
