Lionsgate has confirmed that they will release the 1994 action film The Crow on Blu-ray. A street date of October 18th has been set along with a SRP of $19.99.
The Crow, which is based on James O'Barr's comic book of the same name, is largely remembered for the accidental death of its star, Brandon Lee (son of Bruce Lee), who was killed during production. Lee was mortally injured after being hit in the abdomen with a dummy bullet from a prop firearm. Despite his death, work on the film was completed. The movie received favorable reviews upon its release and has since gained a cult following. A sequel, The Crow: City of Angels was released two years later.
