Amazon is currently taking pre-orders for a new Cars Blu-ray collection from Disney and Pixar. The Cars: John Lasseter Director's Edition will include Cars, Cars 2, and Cars Toons: Mater's Tall Tales in collectible box packaging. The set will include Blu-ray, DVD and digital copies of each feature. The Blu-ray 3D of Cars 2 will be included as well.
Since a formal announcement from Disney has yet to be made, special features, technical specifications, collectible material descriptions and a release date have yet to be confirmed. Given that Disney is debuting the 4-movie Pirates of the Caribbean collection on the same day the fourth film is released, this set may see a release when Cars 2 hits retailers on November 8th. A SRP of $119.99 and a sale price of $79.99 has been listed by Amazon. Stay tuned for an update.
