Hong Kong-based distributors Panorama are set to release Wilson Yip's highly anticipated A Chinese Ghost Story (2011), starring Louis Koo (Election), Liu Yifei (The Forbidden Kingdom), Yu Shaoqun, (Shaolin), and Kara Hui (At the End of Daybreak).
The film is adapted from one of the tales in Pu Songling's Strange Stories from a Chinese Studio, a collection of supernatural stories set in ancient China. It is also seen as a remake of Tsui Hark's 1987 film of the same title.
