Paramount and Yahoo Movies have released the second theatrical trailer for
Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol. The fourth entry in the action/adventure series will see the return of Tom Cruise, Ving Rhames and Simon Pegg alongside franchise newcomers Jeremy Renner (
The Hurt Locker), Anil Kapoor (
Slumdog Millionaire), Léa Seydoux (
Robin Hood), Josh Holloway (
Lost), Paula Patton (
Déjà Vu) and Tom Wilkinson (
Michael Clayton).
Additionally, Brad Bird, best known for helming Pixar's
The Incredibles and
Ratatouille, will make his live-action directorial debut with
Ghost Protocol.
This outing sees the IMF team disbanded after they are blamed for a terrorist bombing of the Kremlin in Moscow. Ethan Hunt (Cruise) and his team then must work under "Ghost Protocol" with agent Brandt (Renner) to clear their organization's name from the crime.
Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol will hit theaters this holiday season on December 16th.
