Amazon's weekly Blu-ray Gold Box deal affects the Limited Edition version of The Sound of Music. 20th Century Fox's popular musical centering around the WWII-set exploits of the Von Trapp family, The Sound of Music stars Julie Andrews (Mary Poppins) and Christopher Plummer (The Insider).
The Gold Box deal presents the 3-disc set at a 57% markdown from its SRP; the Limited Edition is region free and offers a 1080p restoration of the film - with a 2.20:1 aspect ratio and DTS-HD Master Audio - alongside many special features.
Through July 2nd, Amazon is offering The Sound of Music on Blu-ray for $38.99.
