Bob Fosse's legendary
Cabaret (1972), winner of eight Oscar awards, including Best Director, Best Actress in a Leading Role (Liza Minnelli), Best Actor in a Supporting Role (Joel Grey), Best Cinematography (Geoffrey Unsworth), and Best Music Adaptation (Ralph Burns), has been set to be released on Blu-ray in France on October 19th. Technical specs and region coding status for this release, however, are unknown at the moment.
In the United Kingdom, Fremantle Home Entertainment apparently aimed to bring
Cabaret to Blu-ray in 2009, but the release never materialized. Currently, there are no plans for a U.S. Blu-ray release of this classic film.
