Raimi Loves Blu

Sound and Vision recently interviewed Sam Raimi, director of the Spider-man trilogy (as well as the Evil Dead trilogy), and discussed his impressions regarding working with Blu-ray. He commented on how the Blu-ray presentation of 'Spider-man 3' allowed viewers to see detail they likely were unable to see during the theatrical presentation.

"There's a level of crispness and clarity in the imagery with Blu-ray that's incredible," he commented. "I'm very excited for people to see the movie this way, because a lot of detail was put into the visual effects, like the birth of the Sandman, that they probably didn't see in the theater."
